Do I need to create an account to report piracy?
No. The report form is fully anonymous and doesn't require an account, login, or any personal details. An email address is optional and only used if we need to follow up.
Will my identity be shared with the platform or the infringer?
No. Reports are used internally to verify infringement and generate takedown notices. Your contact details, if provided, are never shared with the platform hosting the content or with the person responsible for it.
What counts as "Sky content"?
Any programming, channel, or service owned or exclusively licensed by Sky, including Sky Sports, Sky Cinema, Sky Atlantic, Sky News, and other Sky-branded channels and on-demand content, along with associated broadcasts such as live sport.
What if I'm not sure whether something is actually pirated?
Submit a report anyway. Our team reviews every submission and will only act where infringement is confirmed. It's better to flag something uncertain than to let genuine piracy go unreported.
Do I need to attach a screenshot?
It's optional but helpful. A screenshot speeds up review, especially for content that might be taken down or changed before we can look at the URL directly.
What happens after I submit a report?
We review the submission, verify the infringement, and, where confirmed, generate and submit a takedown notice to the relevant platform. See our How It Works page for the full process.
How long does it take for pirated content to be removed?
It varies by platform. Search engines and major platforms like YouTube often act within days once a valid notice is submitted; smaller or unresponsive hosts can take longer, or may not respond at all. We track every report through to its outcome.
Can I report the same site or stream more than once?
Yes, pirate sites frequently reappear at new URLs or domains. Please submit a new report for each new URL so it can be tracked and actioned individually.
Are pirate IPTV services already being blocked in the UK?
Yes, to an extent. Under Sky UK Limited v British Telecommunications plc & Ors (Claim No. IL-2023-000082), a High Court injunction requires the UK's major ISPs (BT, EE, Plusnet, TalkTalk, and Virgin Media) to block access to more than 51 named IPTV and pirate streaming services on a rolling basis. Reports submitted here are still valuable for piracy that falls outside that order, such as social media re-uploads, individual videos, and search results. See our Legal Basis page for details.
Is this an official Sky customer service channel?
No. This tool is solely for reporting suspected piracy of Sky content. For billing, account, or technical support, please use Sky's official customer service channels.
